Welcome to the Services Division Resource Management Flight. Our staff handles all Appropriated Funds (APF), Non Appropriated Funds (NAF), Resource Protection, NAF Contracting, APF/NAF Budgeting, Computer Support, NAF Accounting Office functions, and NAF Payroll for Services employees.

FAQs

What are NAF dollars?

This question is asked quite often. NAF dollars are simply those funds generated by our Services activities. Conversely, APF dollars are those appropriated by Congress each year. So, every dollar that is made by activities like the Tinker Club, the Child Development centers, or the Golf Course, is a NAF dollar.

How are NAF dollars used?

The base uses NAF funds for programs such as improving existing NAF facilities and equipment, subsidizing base functions, creating new NAF programs, and supporting Tinker varsity sports teams. Every NAF dollar made goes directly back to the base to improve our quality of life.

What services do we provide to Tinker?

We are the Point of Contact for the base Private Organization program, Unit Funds, Special Morale, Welfare and Recreation (SMW) Funds, and the Qualified Recycling program.

PRIVATE ORGANIZATION PROGRAM

In order for your unit to hold fund raisers, such as bake sales and car washes, you must have a base approved chartered organization (this includes a constitution, bylaws, appointed officers, etc.). in addition, all fund raisers must be pre-approved by the Services Division, Environmental Health (if food is involved), and the 72d Mission Support Group commander. Please view the sample Staff Summary Sheets for fund raisers WITH FOOD or WITHOUT food, as well as a copy of the POLICY LETTER addressing fund raisers on Tinker AFB. Though this task sounds difficult, we would be more than happy to provide you the support to make it as easy as possible.

SPECIAL MORALE, WELFARE, AND RECREATION (SM&W) FUNDS

In certain cases, we provide monetary support for retirements, installation Commanders’ Calls, Newcomers’ orientation, and certain Change of Command ceremonies. Contact our offices in advance to find out if your event qualifies for this type of support.
