FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who is eligible for lodging accommodations on base?
A: Any member of the US Military (active, reserve, national guard, coast guard or retiree there of) DoD Personnel or other civilians on orders to the base.

Q: Can space available reservations be made?
A: Yes. They can only be made 72 hours in advance for up to 3 days and are done on a day-by-day basis depending on room availability.

Q: How do I get to Tinker Air Force Base from the Airport?
A: Take I-44 East to I-40 East to Air Depot Road. It will bring you directly to the main gate (Tinker Gate). Once you go through the gate you will take Arnold Avenue (west bound) to Mitchell Avenue (first stop light past the golf course). You will make a left on Mitchell, go past the Officers Club and Indian Hills Inn will be directly past the Officer Club.

Q: What are the room rates?
A:

VAQ - $29.00	VOQ - $34.50
Chief Suites – $40.00	TLF - $38.50
Business Suites - $40.00 - $43.50	*TLF’s may accommodate a family of 4.

Q: How long can I stay if I am PCSing in or out of Tinker?
A: In accordance with AFI 34-246, Air Force Lodging Program, paragraph 2.2.2.5. The maximum stay is up to 30 days, but due to the limited number of the temporary lodging facilities at Tinker air Force Base, local policy is personnel arriving PCS are entitled to a 14 day stay in quarters and departing personnel are entitled to 7 days.

Q: How far in advance can reservations be made if I am coming to Tinker on TDY or PCS status?
A: You may make them as far in advance as possible. However, you must be able to verify that you are going to be on official orders. You need to present a copy when arriving for check in.

Q: Are there cooking facilities?
A: Each room is equipped with at least a microwave and mini refrigerator. Some of the VOQ’s have kitchenettes with appliances. All TLF’s have kitchens to accommodate the duration of stay for those families PCSing in and out Tinker.

Q: What Credit cards do you accept?
A: We accept MasterCard, Visa and the Services Club Card.
